PDA Agar Recipe (1000ml)

- 1000ml boiling distilled water
- 20g potato flakes
- 15g agar agar powder
- 10g sugar (cane sugar, syrup, or maple syrup)
- 5–6 drops blue agar colourant (optional, improves contamination visibility)
Mix thoroughly using a whisk or blender until fully dissolved for a smooth, consistent solution.

Sterilisation Guidelines
- Transfer mixture into a suitable container for pressure sterilisation
- Loosen lid slightly before sterilising
- Sterilise at 121°C for 90 minutes per 250ml volume
