Our two-pound all-in-one BRF cake brings a larger, even more productive solution to mushroom cultivation, designed to simplify the process without the need for fruiting chambers or monotubs. Made from a superior blend of organic brown rice flour and vermiculite, this PF-tek substrate is ideal for nurturing a variety of mushroom species.

Using it is easy: simply inject the sterilized bag, allow the substrate to fully colonize, and once ready, make a small cut at the top of the bag. The increase in oxygen triggers pinning, allowing the mushrooms to flourish directly within the bag. With thousands of inoculation points, this blend promotes rapid colonization for robust growth.

Each two-pound bag is built to meet the highest standards, featuring a 0.22μm filter patch for optimal airflow and a medical-grade self-healing injection port for straightforward inoculation. Every bag is sealed and then sterilized at 121°C for a minimum of 120 minutes in a computer-controlled autoclave, ensuring a perfectly clean substrate that’s ready to use.
